One day all the monks took off toward the mountain to see God there, as He promised Abba Pishoi. In their way they met an old weak man who was unable to move fast. No one attempted to help him for everyone was in a hurry. It was only Abba Pishoi who carried him up without feeling tired. 

Suddenly, the old man got heavier. Saint Pishoi realized that this was Jesus, so he said, "The heavens cannot contain You, how can a sinner like me carry You?"
